After trying to accomplish feedback from various companies selected on Twitter, I evoked a response from one of my tweets. The tweet I sent had to do with a product issue with Nike. In this situation, Nike is eager to respond to product quality questions for many reasons. Primarily, the tweet and their response is public. Anything I tweet about their company and anything they respond is visible to the whole world. Therefore, appearing credible, thoughtful, and responsible in their responses is important. Additionally, I tried to create a tweet that would evoke a response. When responding to tweets, the twitter representative of that company chooses tweets to respond to based on if their response can represent their brand, values and beliefs and make them appealing to the masses. If a tweet contains bad personal relations , their response will be to try and remedy the situation or avoid it entirely as to not draw attention to their mishaps. This phenomenon has taught me that knowing who your audience is before writing is a super effective tool in creating an effective composition. This is why audience is a cornerstone of a composition. Upon further reflection, if I had curated my tweets thinking more about the audience of my select companies and their proclivity to answer, I'm sure I could've elicited more responses.
